The Things You Do For Family

I think we were all still a bit groggy when we woke in the Premiere Inn this morning breakfast was followed by an hours walk for Sam, Josh and I, Clare and Sarah stayed in the hotel.
Sam needed a printer so having transferred the money into her account the three of us set off for the forty minute walk to Argos. It immediately became apparent that there had been a lot of snow overnight and that the journey back to Cornwall was not going to be straight forward.
Having purchased the printer and walked back to the station we got Sam a ticket and said our goodbyes.
The M3 had two lanes open with swirling snow, the A303 had six foot plus drifts, was down to a single westbound lane with some of those trying to travel east having been stuck for seventeen hours! The M5 was down to a single lane in each direction and the A38 to Plymouth was closed. That meant that in order to get Sarah home we had to take the A30 to Bodmin and cut back through the Glynn Valley to Trago Mills where Manolo picked Sarah up.
From Launceston west we never saw snow, it had all gone, roads clear and dry.
Falmouth at 7:30pm and straight in for fish & chips for dinner.
Home, made a fuss of Gussie and to bed shattered, knowing we have it all to do again in forty-eight hours!!
