Life on the Mothership!

By TheMothership

How a picture can tell a thousand stories or not..

Fili looking for her mates. Can't see them so thinks they're not out. Calm beginning to a frantic day not of my making. Phonecall to say eldest son has pulled his NG tube out at school. He has very little hand control so my eye brows are raised. Eldest son is being looked after by young (adult) carer after school. Make thousands of phonecalls
to co-ordinate eldest son, carer and community nurse to replace tube whilst myself and youngest son go and watch George (horse) swimming. Community Nurse can't get tube in. Young adult carer exceedingly stressed, we're miles away in horse box (first time I've let myself be in transport not under my control). So CN leaves, eldest son in bed with no feed and youngest son bound to enjoy the moment,ie delay bedtime by any tactic possible. However youngest son went straight to bed with hardly a whisper, young carer skipped out of the door after handing over and CN came back and after two attempts herself, let me put tube in. Youngest son asleep, eldest son still reliving the evening. What I'm really trying to say is that I think that staff at schools have no real idea of the consequences of what happens during the school day.
