Sunrise at The Catlins

We are home now.

Woke to the most stunning sunrise, unlike the previous mornings when it has been foggy.  A real joy.  The lighting was wonderful along the river (xtra).
After breakfast (we were late), and the pack up we scooted around to Surat Beach hoping to find some Sea Lions, and we sure did. 
A dozen or more were there, some playing dead half buried in the sand, but keeping one eye on us, but others were rather playful (over exaggeration) giving us some great shots.  
Again, had the camera on rapid fire and have some 400 images from the beach.  I know, I'm a crazy old girl. Just making work for myself.....

This trip has been all about horses and the cavalcade.  No time to visit any of the picturesque waterfalls etc.which we have done on other trips.....this is my 5th time down there.

Four days of exceptional photographic opportunities, great company and lots of fun.

The Catlins is a very special place.
