To a snowy Glasgow
We made it to Glasgow without too much trouble. Our train ended at Perth with no trains going further South so we booked two seats on a Megabus which did nt leave until 2.10pm so we filled the time relaxing over several cups of tea and a tasty dinner in a nearby hotel. The roads were covered in slushy, slippery snow so did nt fancy going far. A check on Twitter showed there was a train going at 2.15 which we decided to catch. A slight delay but the train was allowed through, the first journey on that track for about 4 days.We went by trains covered in snow and icicles and high drifts at the side of the tracks.Arrived in Glasgow at just gone 4.A quick look at George Square where a wedding party had gathered for photos. A taxi to our hotel and then a walk to the Cinema at the quay to watch Black Panther.
The roads were fine but with the night time temperatures dropping the paths were really icy so we caught a Taxi back.
The new Sleeper train was at the platform in Inverness a handsome looking train, all sparkling and new :) The old one was in front and did look rather dated in comparison.
The reason the Black Isle remained black is explained in one of the extras.
