The Big Lift

Early start this morning and an interesting drive to Lichfield through the overnight snow. Thankfully the wind had dropped overnight so the canal culvert pipes could be lifted into the canal bed.
This is where they will stay until the Canal Trust find the money to tunnel under the road next to the culverts.
A big sigh of relief all round from the volunteers when the 11 culvert pipes were in place and we could all go home.
