Autumn anvil

Today was an unusual day to say the least, weather wise that is. The air was damp and a cloud of fine rain then fog descended almost as soon as it was light. The air felt thick with moisture this afternoon and I'm sure these dull weather conditions served to enhance the red autumnal tones of our garden.
