Territory

These two male mute swans were sizing each other up. It was almost like watching some kind of jousting manoeuvres.

They would fluff out their wings and neck feathers, charge each other, and then swerve off at the last minute.

As I had no family duties today I extended my walk to take in a trip up to the monument. The views were good as the visibility was excellent.
