Napier's beach
I picked these stones up off the beach at Napier (here) in the North Island of New Zealand on 14th February 2003 whilst on my honeymoon.
The memories of Napier's fantastic Art Deco architecture are strong and I wonder if there's any Napier blippers to show them off?
The town was levelled by an earthquake in 1931 at the start of the Art Deco era which gave reconstructors an excellent excuse to do their finest. If anyone's ever planning a trip to New Zealand, I would recommend a stop-off in Napier.
