Retreat

Ventured out today. Very cold but, while roads were clear, the pavements were a mix of slush and lethal slipperiness (not sure if that's a word). I sought refuge in a coffee shop before going to buy groceries. Large cup of coffee - bliss. Siege mentality in the supermarket - grim.
Now home - warm.
