FlowerFriday02_2018 Contrasting

By the time we woke this morning, the strong winds had finally stopped and we'd had no further snow, although the sky remained stubbornly leaden grey.    First to arrive today  was J, our decorator, closely followed by Violet. J's plan today was to get going on some of the 8 doors that are currently stained and varnished and that we've now decided we would prefer painted white.  Mr MC who  had a late start as, not surprisingly, a number of patients had decided to cancel, had time to help me cover with dust sheets the rooms behind today's doors to be sanded before leaving for work and then the electric sanding began...
Mr MC returned home at lunchtime and we took Violet out for a hot chocolate and a walk around Connaught Water -  by which time the snow had started again!  Having not seen the white stuff in her first 2 years, Violet has become rather a snow expert after this winter.
My main blip today is the distinctly Spring like tulips that I bought on Wednesday and my extra features my alternative flower with her Grandpa on our walk around the lake: Spring and Winter in one blip post!
