Drifts

We are still enjoying the blocked in experience. The newspapers did not get through - they did not reach the distribution depot in Gateshead.

I made some biscuits in the morning to take over to friends on the other side of the village in the afternoon. We were going to pick their brains about the Trans Mongolian Railway as they have done that journey twice. Clive travels the world by train and cargo ship. I phoned to see if they needed anything from the shops. Only a pint of milk was needed but of course the shops had sold out. The shelves are getting quite bare.

They were lucky enough to be travelling first class, with a compartment to themselves, whereas we’ll be sharing. That might be more interesting though. However they did have good advice for us.

The forecast is for more snow which is a pest as we’d wanted to go to Whitley Bay tomorrow.
