Winter Treescape

I had a snow day as our office was closed today.  Fortunately the heavy snow didn't materialise so we were able to travel down to Westbourne and Andy was able to visit his Mum in hospital.  We popped over to her house to feed her cat to find some intruders had been in her back garden and those of her neighbours - they had left their foot prints in the snow!  Fortunately no-one had anything stolen but it meant we popped out to get a padlock to put on her back gate as a deterrent to further entries.

We had more light snow showers all day - this being the view from the kitchen early this afternoon.  I got the log burning stove going and kept in the warm.  Just before dinner we popped out for a walk around the village.  The council have only gritted one road and there are no grit bins around the streets and so the roads and pavements are like ice rinks.  I feel for any elderly people who need to get out for their shopping - I hope they have some considerate neighbours who are able to offer them help.  I hope you are all safe and well.
