Early morning long tails

Another very windy and extremely cold day. I had a national park training session over in Coniston so needed a grab a blip before leaving as it would be dark on my return. The long tailed tits were out in force. In fact there were so many that a couple had to ground feed whilst waiting their turn on the fat balls and nuts. For the avoidance of doubt I wasn't hanging around outside for a blip but shooting from inside the conservatory!

The training session, which was excellent,  was led by a professional story teller and we were aiming to improve our skills on imparting information during a guided walk in an interesting and engaging manner.
