The Pier
Well the Beast has arrived but Emma kindly missed us. The Taoiseach has said we are now allowed outside but it hasn't stopped snowing here all day. The daffs have disappeared and the whole garden was criss-crossed with an amazing variety of prints - bouncing foxes, possibly a rabbit, something small that headed for the shed and a cat that came out of the cat flap, obviously gasped and went straight back through again! The birds are squabbling over the food and I was amazed to see three redwings in the feeding area - they seem to scrabble in the banks. *
The extra is for Lynnfot - polytunnel fine!
We went for a walk this morning to admire the sights and marvel, all so quiet and such luminous colours. Lovely for a couple of hours in my opinion but I've had enough now and we have to travel on Sunday so getting a bit twitchy!
And watch this video this video to see some people have been enjoying the weathers - an igloo, a session and plenty of craic!
* Just back from a walk around the estate and the whole garden is jammed with redwings! And - even more exciting, two plovers in the field - I have never seen them here before.
