Tree surgeons

The date has been in the diary for a long time, so these tree surgeons werent going to let a little bit if snow put them off. Luckily here we do have just a little bit, unlike so much f the country. The huge beech tree beside our gate is in next door's garden so it is their responsibility to keep it a manageable size. Having cut half of it the lads have now disappeared off home, leaving us with a very lopsided tree. I don't blame them for giving up, the temperature hasn't risen above freezing all day.

It has been snowing for several hours now, and settling. I wonder whether our guests due to arrive on Sunday will still want to make the journey.
