Aswan

We moved to the Old Cataract Hotel today where we had tried to book for all three nights here, only to find it fully booked on the middle night - a good sign for the tourist trade!   We really enjoyed the Movenpick Resort Hotel (Room 1201, for our record) on Elephantine Island but it just cannot compare with this place, especially if you have a room like ours (2803!) to which we were upgraded.  Best hotel room ever, as far as we are concerned and it was a real pleasure to transfer from one hotel to the other in a motor launch that puttered gently up the Nile.

I've been doing some work while Dd has been working on our balcony enjoying the view and trying to decide if we should move here permanently!    The beauty of Aswan and its relaxing spell are finding their way into our hearts.   Watch this space!
