Morning Reflections

I woke to rain, but it soon cleared.  I headed to the lake, and was pleased to see that the water was very calm.  Just lovely.  These trees are just turning yellow.  The Island on the right is Ruby Island.

This afternoon I got the lawns done, then clocked up my 10,000 steps.

I heard on the news this morning that the Godwits are returning to Alaska this evening, via Australia, Japan and the Yellow Sea.  It will take them 2 months. They will breed in Alaska in May, then return to NZ in September.  They know when Winter is coming.
