Rain.....
...rain and more rain....
Unfortunately not a good day for sightseeing or going to the beaches which was last nights idea, instead it was a leisurely day inside although the doors were flung wide as it wasn't cold by any means.
A couple of shots while on the way to the airport, the opera house, a mono landscape (a case of how to make a bad photo look a little better) and then this shot of the harbour bridge which appealed to me as it's a different view. The opera house and the above shot were taken through the car window, the mono was taken outside in the pouring rain - yes there's raindrops on the lens.
I had heard there was a wind warning for the South Island but that didn't prepare E and I for flying over the Southern Alps - it was a shocker! E described it as being in a violent earthquake and on a rollercoaster at the same time. We held tight while other's screamed, yes it was frightening but once over the Alps all was calm and was rather comforting to see lights below. It was a smooth landing, 30 mins early so the nor'wester was really pushing us along.
We had a wonderful time with my brother and his family, far too short, thanks G, M, M, W, I'll send mum over for Easter :)
Thanks everyone for your kind words, stars and fav, I'm delighted you enjoyed this small break in Sydney, a city so vibrant with lots of atmosphere :)
