The dropped stitch

'snow issues'

Boy, was I glad to get home and get the fire going tonight!

A little bizarrely, as it was getting dark and the snow was falling I was on my hands and knees outside a local hotel scrapping away snow with a trowel, trying to remember the exact location of the water meter. I was just praying none of the bar customers would step outside for a smoke at that moment. I didn't even want to begin to explain - just get it done and get home!

Looking on the bright side, I have the car back - collected it at lunchtime.

So very happy to be re-united with my trusty 'friend'. The garage cleverly allow us this happy period - and let us enjoy our vehicle again for a little while before issuing the bill. It keeps the garage a cheery, place of happy memories. The leak is mended, the clonk has gone and the wonky door handle is just due to a spring which has lost its oomph. I know how it feels.
