Feeding Lemurs

The day started with a change to our plans. We planned to visit Hawkstone Park follies but due to the adverse weather conditions, they were closed. Instead we headed to Whiteladies Priory near Telford (one in the extras from here), another interesting ruin. The roads were OK to drive although the dry snow was being blown around and open sections were in a mixed state.

We then drove on to Hoo Farm Park for Annie's Christmas present, to meet and feed the lemurs. Given there was thick snow on the ground around the park, the lemurs were keen to stay close to their houses and warmth. But they were great fun even so and the fruit we were feeding them was gratefully received. Here is June, a black and white ruffed lemur, being fed by Annie.

On our way home we popped in for a quick cuppa with Graham. Shame we couldn’t stay longer, but we could see reports of Storm Emma and yellow weather warnings. Then it was onto the M6, M42 and M40 for a snowy drive home. No particular problems except the last 50 metres up to our house. We had to stop and spent 20 minutes or so clearing a couple of tracks in the snow, to get enough grip up the incline.
