Old Dirt Road

Back at work today after a weeks holiday so it was back to early starts again and the difference in the light in just one week is amazing it was really quite dark and frosty this morning. I have passed this track many times on my way home and decided tonight to pull in and take a photo, it leads down to a farm and if you look closely you will just spot a glimmer of blue water in the valley from the Cromarty Firth. Looking across you will see the village of Dingwall a market town with a long and varied history dating back beyond the times when it was a Norse settlement Dingwall in the Norse language means "meeting place"
