... Has been in short supply today, none at all here, so hopefully this will brighten your day!

Perishing cold in the Siberian blast that is blowing even as I type.  Even in the cold frames, fully glazed, the pots are freezing solid.  I rescued this Crocus angustifolius for a while, it took only 30 minutes or so indoors for the flowers to open.   I've been growing this form for nearly thirty years, many of which it was planted out in the garden, it's a toughie.  I'm pretty confident that most of the bulbs will come through the freezing weather ok ... but I'll be pleased when the severe frost relents.  

Definitely a day for staying indoors.
