Cherish the moment

It's cold and early.

It's just about to get light.

Usually I would have been up and about by now. Maybe already out for an early run.

There is a wind howling outside and the ground is thick with snow and ice.

My weather app says more heavy snow and wind is due over the next few hours.

Ripley and I are cuddled up in bed enjoying a few extra minutes together.

The sound and movement of his sleeping body is relaxing and I am celebrating that I have had another day with him sleeping beside me.
