High St in snow

From about mid afternoon the snow showers have been more frequent and this evening , walking back to the flat , even Edinburgh’s High St - the famous “Royal Mile” - was deserted with snow building up on the carriageway,

There was a lot more during the evening and my extra photo shows the contrast with last night’s blip. This must be the heaviest snow fall for about 8 years and also the coldest - it was -4 when I took this.
