Had to make two minor excursions outdoors, one to the dentist's for a check-up in the morning and one to the hairdresser's in the afternoon. Pity both involved walking along a street heading due east into the vicious wind,  so I arrived at both venues with a numb face (more usual when leaving the dentist come to think of it....).

The kids were having a fine old time toboganning down the mysterious mounds on Leith Links.
