Snowflake - Wild Wednesday

Ok, these are really, really, really, really hard to photograph. 

Lots of learning to be done, although with the weather forecast for the next few days, there may be a fair bit of material to work with ... !

Please note, I admit to much use of Photoshop to achieve this compared to the original image - so anyone who knows anything about snowflakes and their formation almost certainly will be able to tell this fact - I'll put this disclaimer here so that people don't yell "Fake!" too loud... 

We all know people who claim the impossible in camera ...

I note with trepidation that tomorrow is the start of March - and thus, in response to Skeena's Mono Month Challenge (MMC18) - I'm embarking on a Colour Month Challenge (CMC18) 

( Update - for the technically curious - I note that the metadata is wrong - the it was 1/250th second [max flash sync], reveresed 50mm at f/16 and off camera flash _under_ the snowflake on a glass plate [ ok, glass saucepan lid ... ] )
