Snow on camellia
Seen through a window, today has been much prettier and full of sunshine than yesterday, but bitterly cold. I probably shouldn't say that as I know many of you make light of much lower temperatures, but it was a bit of a shock for round here.
Even in the centre of town it's so cold the fruit and veg stall wasn't in its usual place - no queen clementines :( - and the flower man had a dinky acetate pavillion round his precious blooms. And for the first time in living memory, the Council actually salted (some of) the pavements as well as the roads.
This blip is of one of the camellias that lives in the shade by my back door. I very much liked the dry feathery snow blown about on its petals. A bit of a contrast with yesterday's shot. Comments, hearts and stars were much appreciated, you are very kind.
Oh, and just realised it's WildWed100 today, hosted by lovely Cailleach (thank you), so have tagged this for the challenge..
Happy Wednesday evening xx
As a reminder, I've taken over hosting the Still Life Sunday challenge for Nickimags888 during March while she hosts MonoMonday. Entries for this coming week can be posted any day from now to Saturday. Please tag as #SLS15
