When knitting goes wrong . . .

The thing is, when knitting lacy patterns, that you have to concentrate!  You can't have something on the TV which needs you to be watching it every second, in case you miss a sideways look or a pertinent bit of information.  Finding a dropped stitch several rows back is really, really, really annoying!

The result can be very messy and take a long time to resolve.  Lots of un-knitting and re-knitting !
