Freezing!

What a weird day of weather. Snowing for 20 minutes, then sun and blue skies, and then snow again. Repeat to fade!!

Our poor tree surgeon was booked in today having had to reschedule once already. He wasn't put off by the conditions and was up the top of our holly oak and mulberry trees in the snow. Both needed serious attention after years of growing just as they liked. Lots of dead wood and reshaping later, they look much better and hopefully will be encouraged to grow. One in the extras of the scene mid-afternoon!!

Tonight we've had a "match a slide" competition at the camera club against two other local clubs. Of course it isn't slides these days but projected digital images. Each club took it in turns to project an image (from their pool of 30) and the other two clubs then put up images to best match it. Each image could be used once only. The judge awarded scores for the match and image quality. Heckling of the judge was encouraged and it was a really fun evening, even though we lost!!
