Winter wonderland

We woke to a generous covering of snow, and the news that schools were closed. After a discussion with a colleague, I decided that it was too unsafe to drive to work. Most people heading that way had had to return around and crawl back home.

I made good use of the day with a visit to my GP. She sent me away with an inhaler, a nose spray, an appointment for a chest X-ray, and instructions to make an appointment for a spirometry appointment.

The boys, meanwhile, spent the morning snowball fighting with the neighbours, and 'sledging' in a blow up dinghy (see extras) We'll see what tomorrow brings, but the schools are open......apparently.
