The personal touch

An afternoon with the lawyer in Osaka finished early enough for me to have just enough time to scoot to the lovely knife shop owned by last week’s engaging speaker.

What a treasure trove! Unsurprisingly, I came away with a beautiful, handcrafted kitchen knife. It has the name of the craftsman who forged it etched in one side of the blade and in this picture you can see my name, in Japanese, being etched on the other side.

Looks fabulous and is ridiculously sharp. I’m too scared to use it...
