Deep in prayer

It's very obvious that Egypt is a Muslim country. There's posters everywhere asking you to respect the prophet, and several magnificent Mosques in this small area. I noticed this chap reading from the Koran in his shop yesterday and was surprised when he broke off to greet me - and even more surprised when he agreed to pose for this image.

If you look large you'll notice that he is selling a herbal relief for the Pharaohs' revenge, but like most people he can't spell it either!!

Many thanks for all the comments, hearts and stars for my holiday Blips. Sorry that I haven't been able to comment myself - the WiFi connection here is a very creaky and overhelmed with the amount of guests with smartphones and laptops. I'll look forward to a good catch up session on my return home.
