Gloucester Cathedral through the arch

The arch is a lot older than the Cathedral, which was completed in the 11th century. http://www.gloucestercathedral.org.uk/history-heritage/cathedral-history/

The arch belongs to St Oswald's Anglo-Saxon Minster and medieval Priory built by Aethelfaed, daughter of King Alfred the Great about 900AD. See extra. I blipped the ruins of the Minster a couple of years ago.

Reason I was down there was the tyre garage is just across the road. I came back after picking up Marlane and F.M.i.L. and noticed the MX-5 front offside tyre was down a lot. I jacked up the car and spun the tyre and found a screw embedded about half an inch in from the edge of the tyre. That is too close to the edge for repair and had to get a new tyre, £110.36 worth of tyre! I wouldn't so much but the tyre that got the puncture is not very old itself.
