Day 057/18. A mystery guest

I'm not sure why, but this chap has moved into our garden for the past few days. He just seems to wander around aimlessly.
We have a large country estate 'over the back' so he probably wandered in from there.
We have not seen a pheasant in our back yard for a long time.
Is he here:
1. Because its cold and he's after food.
2. Because breeding season is approaching and he's looking for a mate.
3. Because he saw or heard a shotgun.
4. Because pheasants are as dumb as rumoured and he's got lost.
