What struck my fancy

End of the road

Parts of the Norfolk coast are subject to coastal erosion. The village of Happisburgh is an example, two roads come to an abrupt end and from time to time houses topple down to the shore below. Snow had fallen this morning, and the double yellow lines at the roadside prohibit parking (!). Sea defences are visible and do not seem to have been particularly effective sadly, they may have delayed damage.

On the way back home I spotted the Osprey V22, a propellor-driven vertical take off military aircraft. The propellors can be angled upwards to take off vertically and then tilted to a normal position for forward flight. They were flying over the former airbase at Sculthorpe - erstwhile home to the nuclear deterrent - planes aloft round the clock carrying the "bomb".
