Never Forget

The Holocaust...embedded in Jewish history and culture...hard to believe people deny it ever happened. Todays field trip was to Babi Yar Park in Denver BabiYar Park
which is is a living memorial to the thousands of Jews, gypsies, Ukrainians and others who were murdered between 1941 and 1943 at the Babi Yar ravine on the outskirts of Kiev.

This particular photo is of boxcar bridge. Jews transported to concentration camps traveled in very tight, cramped quarters within boxcars. The high walls and narrow passage of the bridge simulates the cramped sensation they endured as they stood and rode for hours...many of whom died at the end of the journey.

Never forget...those who died...those who survived...and the tragedy of life when people discriminate against others...never forget...
