Crocuses

Bit jaded today, but Tim and I cleaned the flat top to bottom ahead of our friends Char and Liz coming over for dinner.  I snapped this shot out of the bedroom window in the middle of all that.

Had a really lovely evening with Liz and Char - a tasty dinner, if I do say so myself (sesame salmon with a creamy wasabi sauce), and lots of good conversation.  Char brought a home-baked banana loaf with her, too, which we had with some fruit and mascarpone for dessert - delicious.  They left a little after 11:30pm and Tim and I stayed up for another half hour or so before heading to bed.
