Una and Helena at Negombo beach, Sri Lanka

A back blip in sad circumstances. Helena's great friend Una McCauley, sitting on the right of this picture, has sadly died on Friday 23rd February 2018. We have only just heard and we gather she had been ill for just a short time.

She was the United Nations Representative in Sri Lanka since shortly after this picture, which I took when we visited her. The President and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka have both issued public messages of condolence. She was a wonderful person and a great friend to Helena for decades. We both are very upset and feel so sad for her mother Dee, and for Una's two children, Sam and Emanuel.
