Jazz Fest

We had our mini New Orleans celebration last night, even though hubby wasn't feeling particularly well.
About the time Eric signed up for chemotherapy, to be followed by surgery, we'd been planning a trip to New Orleans' JazzFest in late April with friends Ron and Kathie.
That plan got shelved, so instead, the four of us did a very abbreviated version with dinner at at Acadia and a concert at Revolution Hall. We saw the Miles Electric Band put on by the 2018 PDXJazz Festival. Quite a good time all around, although I can't speak for the patient.
One part was awkward: we ran into a teacher Eric knows fairly well, the man didn't recognize Eric with barely any hair. He brushed off the greeting, then came back at the end of the concert, concerned and apologetic. One of the realities of cancer.
