Redshank

Looking in my book it could be a spotted Redshank in winter plumage. There were lots of them on the mud in Maryport harbour.
We had been for a drive along the coast as we had been told there were purple Sandpipers passing through. Not really knowing what we were looking for we didn't spot any.
