Why the long tail

We were up and out early with the dogs and then headed down to Arundel for a stroll around the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. There was plenty going on bird-wise and I got my first ever photos of a kingfisher! Sadly they weren't good enough for public consumption so I've gone with a long-tailed tit instead this time, however, hopefully I will one day blip a kingfisher now that we know where he hangs out. And we've joined the WWT so could be back there in the near future (when, hopefully, it'll be a bit warmer).
