Bloomsbury Festival
I had to pick up some rail tickets from Euston Station today. I'd heard the Bloomsbury Festival was on, so I wandered through Russell Square where there were craft stalls, music and 'arty things'! One of the 'arty things' was this..'Feet Street' which I walked through and rather liked. Here is the description (as I wasn't 100% sure what it was exactly when I was there!)...
Wellcome Collection is working with artist Elaine Duigenan, the Girls Group at OneKX and young dancers from The Place. The Russell Square arbour is curtained off so that the 'street' becomes a stage. Magical translucent foot lights line the route and young dancers perform specially choreographed pieces. In the marquee, meet experts from the worlds of chiropody, fashion and reflexology. You can even cobble something together to place on Feet Street!
I decided to walk back to Charing Cross along the back streets, where I haven't walked before. I thought I was walking in the right direction, through some interesting streets, but actually ended up in Angel, Islington! Nevermind, I rather like it there..I found a window seat in Costa and people-watched until my hot coffee turned icy!
