Pink Day

Several years ago now (2012) a group of LC ladies, calling themselves the LC Lovelies decided to go large on fund raising for Breast Cancer charities. All of us had lost someone to this horrible cancer. We did various fund raising things, but the main event was the Moonwalk. It was the hardest thing ive ever done, both physically and emotionally, but also one of my proudest accomplishents. It was a unique experience for me.....never again, but some of the ladies have gone on to bigger and better things, and also been joined along the way by others, who have since experienced a loss. This year they are going to climb Snowdon! Mad women! But today they had a cake sale to raise money. This was about half the donated cakes and they have raised over £400. Martin, pictured in his tutu went round to staff who couldn’t leave their areas of work, to make sure everyone could take part. They are all inspirational. I had to include the returned peacock in my collage, just because I can!
