Teal

Came home to a series of emails and some post that made me realise it might be a while until I could get out to Levenhall to see the birds, so I took one look at the light and hopped on a bus.
The tide was out, so only a handful of birds on the Scrapes, including this splendid drake Teal, but the beach yielded a grey plover and there was a shag out to sea, bringing my Year List up to 78 :D
I saw some gulls far out diving at a patch of disturbed water, discovering later from M that some humpback whales were seen disporting themselves in the Firth of Forth, but I couldn't in all conscience call that a sighting...
