Chilli and Anime

Fun filled Saturday with an afternoon with the inaugural Tolcross Charity Chilli Cook-Off. After 9 servings* we handed in our scores.

Congratulations to Bennet's Bar who came away with gold. It wasn't mine or L's first (or even second choice), but hey, that's what democracy is all about.** Our picks were Cloisters Bar and The Golf Tavern, but everyone was a winner really. Well, not everyone, see *.

Then off to the Filmhouse for Scotland Loves Anime and the world premiere of Nerawareta Gakuen. Ummm. Now, how to explain this one. That's going to be a problem. It probably serves it beat to say that when the lights came up at the end there was a significant collective nervous laugh, with hints of definite befuddlement. Still, looking forward to Wolf Children tomorrow night.
