Spring Becomes Fountains
On the 20th February, J's birthday, we've got into the habit of taking a snowdrop walk. Very often at Fountains Abbey near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
This place is the most visited National Trust property in the whole of the UK. Despite that, it's usually possible to get away from the throngs around the actual abbey.
For us, it is a very special place and we go as often as we can. J now just pretends she doesn't know me as I scutter off down "No Public Access" by-ways on the estate.
Nonchalantly waits until I re-emerge, hopefully with something [extra] to show for the effort...
