Cathedral Cave - and Hector's Dolphins
The day started with the Hector's Dophins (the smallest sort of dolphins in the world) giving is a nice display in Curio Bay. Getting photos of them was tricky but I managed to get a shot of one of them riding the surf (see the extra). They certainly seemed to be having fun; we've never seen dolphins so close to the shore before.
After checking out of the campsite we drove to MacLean's Falls which were rather impressive. However for my main blip I've chosen a fisheye shot of the mouth of Cathedral Cave which we visited after lunch - we were lucky that the tide was out as it can only be visited an hour or two either side of low tide.
That was followed by quite a long drive to Te Anau where we're staying for 2 nights, with a trip to Doubtful Sound booked for tomorrow. The weather forecast isn't all that wonderful but we've been assured that it's just as impressive in the rain so that shouldn't matter. You never know, though - the forecast may be wrong!
