I saw this as I walked home and thought of my brother who loves gradening - as he undergoes his second big operation to have his liver resectioned - in the end they removed 65% of it! That sounds pretty close to teh wire for me because I've read that 30% is the minimum we can live with but hopefuly it will regenerate fine.

update 21.10 - he's recovering albeit slowly.
