This wren was singing its wee heart out in the Victoria Road allotments in Kirkwall this morning, but I couldn't quite get a shot of it mid-gape. I had to get the camera out my backpack, and then the little camera's automatic focus wouldn't focus so I was glad to get any shot. This bird has the scientific name 'Troglodytes troglodytes' which means 'cave-dweller'. Or 'cave-dweller cave-dweller', like it owns two residences.
