Fennel Flowers....

We had more rain during the night. A mostly cloudy day has followed. And it is much cooler.
The fennel plants along the banks of the Taylor River are putting on a great show at present. The plants are over shoulder-high and in various stages of flowering. I love the smell and form of the flowers.
We have been keeping in touch with Hannah and Alex in Marahau. Many properties in that area and in the Riwaka area are seriously damaged. The recovery and rebuilding of buildings, farm fences, orchards will take a very long time.
